Billing policy
It is a requirement under Medicare Australia guidelines to provide informed financial consent to all patients. This information is provided so you can make informed decisions about the care you require and the associated expenses.
Below is a list of the type of consultation and the related expenses charged by Dr Yee Kim Ku and Dr Pui Yee Wu in year 2024. Please be aware that the fee will be adjusted yearly to keep up with the inflation.
Please note you will need a referral for specialist consultation in order to claim medicare rebate. A referral from a general practitioner (GP) to a specialist lasts 12 months, unless noted otherwise. Referrals from specialists and consultant physicians are valid for 3 months. It is patient’s responsibility to make sure the referral is up to date.
We can assist you in claiming your Medicare rebate after paying your consultation fee. The rebate from Medicare will go straight back into your bank account. You must register your bank account details with Medicare before your consultation, online or phone Medicare on 132 011.
*** Patients with no Medicare will need to pay the full fee and do their own claim from their private health fund.
Please be advised that if you failed to cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours prior, a penalty fee of $50 will be applied before we will rebook you for another appointment. For new patients, we will require you to pay upfront fee and penalty before we offer you another appointment if you failed to show up without prior notice. No future appointment will be offered to patient who fails to show for two times.
A short Telehealth consultation will be arranged for doctor to redo your lost script or pathology/ radiology referral forms, which will incur a fee of $65.85 with Medicare rebate of $40.85.
Payment of fee at the time of consultation is required. Your information may be used for billing purposes including bad debt management. If you do not give permission for the above, please let our receptionist know.
